DESCRIPTION & BACKGROUND

Shena Johns was born into piracy. Her mother was a marine on one of the larger ships of The Sullivan’s Fleet, and her father was one of the sailors. As soon as she could stand, Shena learned how to sail. She worked her way up from sailor to marine, and is one of the top pillagers of the Fleet. She is a strong, independent, and intimidating woman; however, she does have a maternal instinct when it comes to her fellow shipmates. Shena has long braids with different pieces of her past tied into her hair. Different fabrics and fibers are woven in, representing all of her conquests, both on land and sea. She is proud to show off just how many successful raids she has been in and even lead throughout her years. Shena typically wears men’s clothing, since it is the easiest to move around in. She is almost always wearing her signature brown leather coat. She claims it has saved her life more than her machete, which she is also always wielding. Shena is only 35 years old, and actually looks a little younger. When someone looks into her eyes, they see a battle hardened veteran of Lake Michigan. Shena does not let on how tired her life on the Lake has made her, but she shoes it in her face. Shena’s greatest desire is just to settle down on Washington Island, find a suitable mate, and spawn a few more pirates. She just hasn’t found the person who can handle her.
